Trying Out - Tucking in Blouse

What I wore: Red beanie (unknown), Warehouse grey pants, Dotti cobalt blouse, Zalando black wedges, various thrifted necklaces.

Today is wardrobe wednesday all over the blogging-sphere.  It's my favourite day to try something new and brave.  So tucking in a blouse.... here's what I've learnt. A) don't do it with a tank top underneath like I did (too bulky), B) try to wear something feminine to balance it all out, and C) be cautious about the bottom piece you do it with - thinking about the shape it creates.

I have loads of skirts this would have worked with, but I tried to emulate the below inspiration pic.  Unfortunately my camel skinny pants are just too hip hugging for this look (but the colours do look awesome together!).

Loving the pop of red in the beanie and it hid the fact I should have washed my hair this morning :)  As promised I'm giving the layering necklace I look - I was pleased with the affect.  What do you think?   Linking up today with Create Hope Inspire (NZ blog party), Pleated Poppy, Rolled Up Pretty and Transatlantic Blonde.
