Trying Out - Lace

Today's outfit all started with this singlet.  Some days when I get dressed I pick out one thing and then just try to figure out what works with it.  As today is the only day we are forecast to see the sun this week, I tried to keep it summery (but warm enough to cope).  As the singlet is quite loose I tried out a long cardigan and a hip length one before settling on this shrug.

Lace, cut outs and broderie anglais are very popular right now, especially in skirts and dresses (perfect for special occasions).  I was hoping this top was a bit more everyday.

I find the cutouts interesting, but don't really like the shape.  I might experiement with more fitted lace or broderie anglais items to find one that I like better.  Ah well only £2 lost in this experiment.  Thanks to today's budding photographer for the outfit in action shot!
