Straighten Up

*Boots, Similar Skirt*

Growing up, I always wanted straight hair. All my friends, favorite celebrities, and Barbie dolls had silky locks that I envied. Middle school boys found red, curly hair about as attractive as freckles - which is to say, I didn't go on my first date until I was 17.

My mom would straighten my hair with a clothes iron from time to time. I'd lay my head on the ironing board and hold my ears down while smoke rose from my head. Nothing quite like the smell of burnt frizz in the morning!

Even though I'm not trying to impress the middle school boys anymore, it's fun to straighten my hair every once in a while. I received the HANA straightener from Misikko (they offer hair straighteners, curling irons, and hair dryers) and lo and behold it works much better than a clothes iron. I finished the look off with a pink skirt... just like Barbie would do.
